Creating and assigning link governor roles to individual members of a governing body is an effective way to ensure governance remains strategic and focused on key issues.
The development of a Wellbeing Governor role demonstrates the governing bodies commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of both staff and pupils. The creation of the role also emphasises the importance of establishing robust mental health provisions in schools, providing equal opportunities, building resilience and developing support strategies and tools. Completing the e-module will give governors the status of being a ‘Carnegie Governance Lead for Mental Health & Wellbeing’.

This professional development framework takes a whole trust approach to mental health and wellbeing providing a framework to evidence the trusts strategy, policies and initiatives that work towards improving mental health and wellbeing for both staff and pupils within the wider Multi Academy Trust community.

Multi academy Trusts will evaluate their whole trust strategies, current mental health policies and practices within their schools, identify gaps, develop and strengthen their work towards building an emotionally healthy community for all.

The Creative Learning Award takes a community approach to suppose schools in developing a whole-school culture where creativity, ethical agency and social-emotional learning go hand in hand.

This award is intended for senior leaders, teachers, and creative practitioners working in educational settings. The award supports schools to embed seven key competencies, each accompanied by a set of development statements that guide reflective practice and strategic improvement.
