Residential Trips

Payable over 4 instalments.

• Payment 1 = £50 (by April 11th)
• Payment 2 = £50 (by May 9th)
• Payment 3 = £75 (by May June 6th)
• Payment 4 = £75 (by July 4th)

This contribution will secure your place on the China trip.

The balance, based on final flight quotes and your accommodation choices will be payable in early August.

You will be asked to complete the student conduct form then.

Week 2 - Yantai Campus accommodation is in SJU University Halls.

As part of modules BA501/MA701, which you are expected to complete as part of your course, we are running a two-day residential field trip to North Yorkshire. The trip will take you to a range of designed and semi-natural landscapes in this very beautiful part of the world. It will include a World Heritage Site, high forest and one of Piet Oudolf’s planting schemes – amongst other places. You will learn, in the field, about forest species, landscape management and how to balance the needs of people and nature. We will be looking at how to design for different types of visitors and what the effects of design decisions are. We hope that you will complete the trip feeling inspired! The trip will take place between on October 6^th first thing, and October 7^th (6pm) leaving and departing from Broadcasting Place.

FEES

The full cost of the trip will be approximately £125 which includes full board and accommodation (bed plus an evening meal, breakfast and Tuesday’s lunch), all travel, entrance fees and tour fees. You are required to pay a deposit of £60.00 by 18^th August 2025 to secure your place on the trip.

The remainder will need to be paid by 29^th September 2025.
