First Aid Courses
First Aid Training
Our University is approved by the Federation of First Aid Training Organisations (FOFATO) and the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) to deliver and award First Aid training and qualifications. (Certificate N°: 1634/96)
Carnegie Coach Education, a dedicated unit in the University, is responsible for the organisation, administration and delivery of professional training from a comprehensive portfolio of courses. You can attend one of our courses on a set date or we can also deliver an ‘offsite’ course at your chosen venue (subject to venue suitability and tutor availability)
NO VAT TO PAY ON ANY OF OUR COURSES
Leeds Beckett University is an eligible body for VAT purposes which means that it does not charge VAT on its supply of education and training. This makes us more competitive when compared to other providers who are not eligible bodies.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING
The British Heart Foundation are encouraging high awareness of AED machines in businesses and the community, therefore we have taken the initiative of including AED training on all of our First Aid courses .
Please be aware that ALL our first aid courses now include AED Training.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK with AED(1 Day)
It is the responsibility of an employer to decide how many employees are trained as First Aiders, as well as which type of training they need. Assessing the risks of your workplace and referring to HSE regulations on the appropriate requirements for your organisation will help you make the right decision. These courses are available to Leeds Beckett Students, Leeds Beckett staff and Tennis Coaches as part of the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) CDC partnerships.
The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is a competency based course, designed to train individuals in both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid in low risk environments, such as offices, shops and libraries.
The 3-day First Aid at Work with Automated External Defibrillator Training qualification is an intensive, competency based course, designed to train individuals in both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid to the standards required by the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This qualification is especially suited for nominated workplace first aiders looking to gain a comprehensive knowledge of First Aid training. With First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) approval this course is also ideal for those involved in environments where an automated external defibrillator is available in an emergency.
