Summer Sports Camp 2022DescriptionCamp Carnegie is part of Leeds Beckett University’s Carnegie Junior Sports Academy, providing high quality coaching across a range sports, using the extensive sports facilities at Headingley Campus. It is running as a multi-sports camp and the sports that will feature are Athletics, American Football, squash and Tennis. There is opportunities for all players, from beginners to advanced, to develop their game and reach their full potential in an enjoyable environment. Camp Carnegie runs for players aged 8*-16 years. *Can accommodate 7-year olds after a trial day, with signing of additional consent form. Youth Athletic Development campDescriptionMonday 22nd - Friday 26th August 2022 Do you want to improve your sporting performance? Are you looking to understand the different aspects of sporting performance and how you can improve them? Do you want to take your performance to the next level? The Youth Athletic Development Camp takes a holistic approach to sporting performance, where we explore nutrition, mental skills, speed & agility, and Strength & Conditioning, giving you objective, tangible tools and strategies that you can use immediately to develop your sporting performance. In nutrition sessions you will enhance your cooking skills (e.g., chopping, cutting, dicing, preparing food) and learn recipes to make delicious and nutritious meals to fuel performance In mental skills sessions you will explore self-talk, imagery, error parking and audio-scripts to understand the impact thoughts, feelings and emotions play in your approach to performance In Strength & Conditioning you will develop an understanding of how to manipulate exercises and create the physiological adaptations (e.g., strength, power, speed) you need to drive performance
