DescriptionIntroduction to Cardio-Pulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) - Hosted by Leeds Beckett University and NHS BradfordThe study day (10th September) is aiming to explore various multi-disciplinary approaches to the use of CPET in POM and other applications with an emphasis on data interpretation. Clinicians will present case studies for discussion and to help everyone improve their ability and confidence in interpreting CPET results. A practical demonstration of a CPET is included. For those new to CPET we are offering a half-day Introduction to CPET course (9th September) including the theoretical underpinnings of CPET as well as the practical skills involved in conducting and interpreting the test.

Day 2 - CPET/POM Study Day - a multidisciplinary approach to interpreting CPET results (10th September 2025; 8.30am to 5pm) The Study Day is about discussions on the way in which CPET is used in medicine - e.g. as part of perioperative risk stratification, prehabilitation assessments (e.g. cancer, rheumatoid arthritis etc.), assessment in cardiology (e.g. pulmonary hypertension or sports cardiology). This day is structured around a series of presentations by medics and academics, allowing time for Q&A and discussions after each talk.
