DescriptionPromoting Children’s Health and Happiness through Coaching Powered by the Centre for Child and Adolescent Physical Literacy and ICOACHKIDS Research has consistently shown the benefits of sport and physical activity for children. We also know how pivotal the role of the coach can be in nurturing positive experiences and promoting these benefits. That said, concerns have been raised for the happiness and healthiness of children including the reduction in sports participation rates and ethical concerns within young athletes. This 1-day event will bring together leading practitioners and coaches working with children to present, share and discuss ways of best creating positive experiences for children. Through sharing stories and working collaboratively we hope to maximise the power of movement and sport to support and promote children's health and happiness.
