Practical ideas for coping with different behaviour

Course info

This workshop will provide Tutors and Yorkshire based Coaches with a foundational understanding of behaviour management. It will build awareness and confidence across variations of behaviours and focusing on the person / player centred approach.  The workshop will share practical ideas to help teach Tutors and Coaches how to utilise strategies through practical scenarios in their respective tutoring and coaching practice.

The learning outcomes for this course are: 

·       Understanding the variations of behaviours, the why and the how

  • Examples of poor or disruptive behaviours
  • Gaining confidence in using the correct terms and communicating well

·        Working alongside parents/guardians to introduce coping strategies

·        Conditions and changing environments that will affect behaviour

·        Strategies for managing behaviours, including being bespoke to the child/person involved, providing responsibility, asking questions, utilising different roles and time out procedure

Tutors and Coaches will benefit from this CPD by being able to better develop and retain players in their coaching sessions. The knowledge learned on the workshop will serve for all coaching environments, e.g. clubs, communities and schools and with players of any age or stage. 

Please note:  You must be an LTA Accredited coach and delivering coaching within Yorkshire to book onto this course.
