Course Description

This course has been designed specifically for Dietitians working in mental health eating disorders and learning disabilities. It aims to develop the core competencies required to take on a Care Coordinator/Lead Professional role within their post. Core content Includes:

  • Risk assessment and planning
  • Crisis planning and management 
  • Assessing and responding to carers needs 
  • Care planning and review
  • Transfer of care/discharge

The course is delivered through a series of case studies workshops to support skills in the application of the knowledge and skills for CPA competencies in a variety of scenarios and settings. Through critical discussion and reflection of the case studies, students will develop confidence in the application of the skills and knowledge to authentic scenarios.
