COURSE OVERVIEW
Developing staff is widely recognised as one of the key
responsibilities of line managers, and coaching significantly supports that ideology. This coaching programme will provide you with a practical grounding and understanding of the differences between coaching and mentoring and the power of coaching in developing individuals and organisations. It will also provide you with the knowledge and skills to develop your ability as a confident, well practiced coach so that coaching becomes part of your everyday management activity.

Within this programme you will develop your skills to:
• enhance your existing skills-set in order to support individuals and teams to achieve even higher levels of
performance
• pro-actively plan and implement effective coaching practice that will enable you to support and develop
individual team members
• understand the contribution coaching (and mentoring) makes to the development of individuals and
organisations
• develop your capability as a leader to influence, guide and develop those around you through the power of coaching
• identify coaching processes and techniques
• question your pre-programmed responses and to consider new options to solve often common problems and achieve goals

This is a comprehensive training programme that offers a balanced approach to both theory and practice of coaching.
The training material and curriculum targets the important concepts of coaching. In addition, the individual needs of organisations are also incorporated into the training programme in order to maximise impact.
