With pieces from world-renowned masters of choreography Sir Kenneth MacMillan and Robert Cohan, as well as new generation choreographers: Royal Ballet Young Choreographer Charlotte Edmonds and Yorke Dance Project’s Artistic Director Yolande Yorke-Edgell.
MacMillan’s rarely seen Sea of Troubles is inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Cohan’sTwilight is the reimagining of a previous work that now portrays six athletic dancers performing to music by Vivaldi.
With a specially commissioned score, Edmonds’ Self evokes the passionate world of a man struggling with desire and Yorke-Edgell’s Untethered closes the programme with a journey to unravel the ties that can bind our mind and spirit.
